About Claire
Claire Han Zhang graduated from the University of Dundee in 2022, one of the UK’s leading dental schools, and moved to Edinburgh to begin her career, joining the Newkirkgate team and quickly establishing herself as a dentist with a genuine talent for building patient relationships.
Claire’s approach to dentistry is preventive and patient-focused in equal measure. She enjoys getting to know the people she treats, understanding not just their dental history but their goals, their anxieties and what they want their smile to look like in the longer term. From that starting point, she builds a care plan that is genuinely tailored to the individual rather than applied from a template.
She is particularly good at putting patients at ease, including those who are visiting a new dentist for the first time or who have had difficult experiences elsewhere. There is a natural warmth to her clinical manner that patients respond to quickly, and she is consistent about explaining what she is doing and why throughout every appointment.
